| Q. Is there a new catalog out? | | A. The current catalog is for 2011-2012. The cover is grey with a photo of floral baskets.
If you would like to request a catalog, please do so online through the "Customer Service" or "Help" page. You can also call or email us a request! | | Q. Do you have an E-Catalog? | | A. Yes, we do! This can be found on the "Customer Service" or "Help" page. You can also print sections of our catalog. |
| Q. What is the easiest way to place an order? | | A. Ordering online is the easiest, and fastest. We strongly suggest you print out the order confirmation or keep the order number in case you need assistance so that we can quickly retrieve the details of your order! | | Q. What if an item is not in stock? | | A. If an item is not in stock and you would like to inquire further, please call the customer service department at 651.582.0525 for an ETA on warehouse stock & arrival. Items ordered online that are out of stock are placed in the customer's shopping cart as a backorder. | | Q. What about my backorders? | | A. Backorders will be shipped without notification if within 60 days of date ordered. All backorders under $50 are canceled. At the end of every year, IHI cancels all back orders from the previous year without notice. |
| Q. What are the metal items made of? | | A. Most products are made of aluminum. This means hand wash only in warm water with mild soap. | | Q. Can I put India Handicrafts, Inc. aluminum in the microwave? | | A. No, DO NOT place IHI aluminum in the microwave. | | Q. Are the serving pieces food safe? | | A. Yes. Our serveware is food safe. | | Q. Can the serveware be used to cook? | | A. Our serveware can be put in the oven up to 250 degrees. We recommend warming only. |
| Q. Do you have a product care sheet that I can print? | | A. Yes! Please refer to the "Printable Care Instructions" in the "Forms & Links" section in Customer Service. | | Q. Will my product scratch? | | A. India Handicrafts aluminum will scratch over time as all metals do. But following the basic care steps will help. | | Q. How to care for your product? | | A. Handwash product. Do not leave anything with an acidic base in the product for long periods of time as it will eat the finish. Use an aluminum polish if the item starts to tarnish. And remember it is going to scratch over time. |
| Q. What do I do if I have damaged product? | | A. Inspect your shipment upon arrival. If you have damages call IHI customer service (not sales rep) or fax in the ARS form that came with your packing slip. A return can also be done online & you can find this on the "Customer Service" page. Items that are needed to be picked up will be picked up within 30 business days. | | Q. How long do I have to make a damage claim? | | A. Claims must be made to IHI with in 10 days of receipt of order. No claims will be accepted after 30 days. | | Q. What is considered damaged? | | A. Mostly broken items. Remember, there will be variations in color, texture, size and finish as well as slight irregularities because all products are handmade. If you are unsure, please call us to confirm! | | Q. Is there a restocking fee? | | A. Items that are not damaged by the fault of IHI or by shipping may be returned but will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Freight for that item will not be refunded. | | Q. May I return overstock items? | | A. Shopworn, pricemarked or overstock items may not be returned. |
| Q. What are your shipping & handling charges? | | A. All orders are shipped F.O.B. our warehouse in Roseville, MN, 55113. Approximate shipping charges are 10-12% of the total order amount. The amount of shipping is reflected in your invoice when your order is ready to ship. | | Q. How fast do orders ship? | | A. Web placed orders usually ship within 3-4 business days. All other orders are shipped within 10-14 business days. During peak seasons, the processing time could take up to 3-6 weeks. | | Q. Do you have rush delivery service? | | A. Yes! If you have an order that needs to be rushed or shipped within a certain amount of time we recommend calling in the order to our customer service department at 651.582.0525. Rush orders may include additional shipping charges. |
| Q. Do I have to create an online account even though I have bought from IHI before? | | A. Yes! All first time web customers must create an online account before they have full access to our website. Only new customers need to fax in their Tax ID Certificate. Returning customers will only need to fill out the application. | | Q. How do I receive access to the site? | | A. To get access to our site you need to fill out the new user application. New customers MUST fax a copy of your Tax ID Certificate to 1-800-821-3461 in order to gain access! |
